Having a successful yardsale is really HARD work! If any body has ever said to you that it's a piece of cake, they are lying.

List all the big or important items you are selling. Unlike other directories we give you ample space to describe what you have in your yard sale. No need to abbreviate you can even include pictures (paid service that might be worth it, if you are selling something expensive).The day of your sale, noticed what other sales are going on in your neighborhood direct customers to other nearby sales, and the other people will do the same.

Put up signs in the area, it is time consuming to make sturdy, readable, good looking homemade yardsale signs. Buy a couple of them at the local hardware store. Another idea for signs is to use paper grocery bags, draw your signs on then, fill the bottom with heavy rocks, stuff with newspapers and staple shut. using crayon to make signs, keeps lettering from running, if it gets wet.

Don't pick a holiday weekend, (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day), to have your sale.
