2009 School Kit Program Underway

Ballard Community Services is currently accepting applications for anyone needing assistance with school supplies for the upcoming school year. Applicants must qualify for the free and reduced lunch program in order to participate and they can apply at either the Penn House or Ballard location. Ballard will attempt to meet the need of all grade levels. Last year, Ballard provided 470 children with a backpack and all of the supplies required by the school district thanks to generous donations made to the program. Last year 150 children also received new shoes as well.
This year, Ballard will again be taking donations for the program from 8:30-5:30 at the Ballard Center site. If you can help, please do, we anticipate that the need for this assistance will double this year and this Ballard program relies100% on donations.
